From new crane runways to specialist rail repairs

Worn or poorly aligned rails can create additional rolling resistance, increasing both energy consumption and wear. We inspect the crane runway and advise on repair or replacement. Our in-house certified rail welders carry out specialist welding work, such as repairing rail fractures. We also replace worn rails and fastenings – ranging from individual parts to projects in which we replace over 800 metres of crane rail. 

For new crane runways, we handle the engineering, production and installation, tailored to the crane and the available space. We can also modify existing runways. This means you can bring new builds, inspections and repairs together with a single provider. We coordinate execution with your planned maintenance and downtime, helping to minimise interruptions to your production.

When does a crane runway need to be replaced?

That depends on the condition of the rails and the rest of the structure. During an inspection, we determine where repairs are still possible and where replacement is necessary.

Can Facta repair a rail fracture in a crane runway?

Yes, if repair is technically feasible. Our certified rail welders carry out the necessary rail welding work.

Can Facta replace longer sections of crane rail?

Yes. We can carry out larger rail replacements and schedule the work in line with planned maintenance and downtime. This helps minimise interruptions to your production process.
