Repair, overhaul or replacement of electric motors

Has an electric motor failed or is it showing irregularities? You want the right solution as quickly as possible. We inspect the motor and discuss whether repair, overhaul or replacement suits your situation best.

The right solution for your electric motor

Not every electric motor requires the same approach. A standard motor can usually be replaced quickly, while a special or older motor is sometimes better overhauled. That’s why we assess not only the technical condition but also the costs, delivery time, energy efficiency, mounting dimensions and the impact on your installation. This way, you receive practical and reliable advice tailored to your situation.

With our on-site service and workshops throughout the Netherlands, we support you quickly and expertly with maintenance, overhaul and troubleshooting. Our specialists work on three-phase motors (including Ex versions), DC and slip ring motors, high-voltage motors, aand motors used in geared drives and drum motors.

  • Repair and overhaul

We inspect the condition of the motor and carry out the necessary work in our workshop or on-site. Overhauls are performed according to a fixed protocol, and we always finish with a thorough test.

  • Rewinding electric motors

Motors that are no longer available are often expensive to replace. By rewinding them, we give them a second life. In our rewinding workshops we work on AC, DC and high-voltage motors, generators and drum motors. Depending on the application, a VPI treatment can be part of the work.

  • Condition monitoring and root cause analysis

Using condition monitoring and vibration analysis, we determine the maintenance required. For recurring faults or accelerated wear, we investigate the root cause using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.

  • 24/7 availability for breakdowns

A breakdown is not always avoidable. That's why we're available 24/7 to minimise downtime and get installations back up and running as quickly as possible.

Prevent downtime with planned maintenance

You want to avoid unexpected failure of your electric motors. That’s why we combine maintenance, repair and overhaul with condition monitoring for your installations. We map out your machines, record the data in our management system and determine together which drives are critical.

Using condition measurements and vibration analysis, our Machine Diagnosis Group (MDG) monitors the state of your installations. By identifying deviations in good time, we can provide targeted advice on maintenance, overhaul or replacement. This ensures inspection, diagnosis and execution are seamlessly aligned, so you can schedule activities at the right moment. The result? Reduced risk of unplanned downtime and maximum reliability for your electric motors.

Frequently asked questions

Which electric motors can Facta monitor, overhaul or replace?

Facta works independently of brand on almost all types of electric motors. From three-phase, DC, and high-voltage motors to gear motors and drum motors. We tailor our approach to the motor and its application.

When is it advisable to overhaul an electric motor?

That depends on the role of the motor within the process. For critical drives, inspections and condition monitoring help to prevent downtime. Facta advises on whether maintenance, overhaul, or replacement is the best choice, based on the technical condition.

Can Facta rewind electric motors?

Yes. Our winding workshops can rewind and test many types of electric motors. For special motors, we assess the options based on their design and technical condition.

Can Facta perform condition measurements?

Yes. With condition measurements and vibration analyses, our MDG maps out the state of electric motors. This helps to detect anomalies in time and to plan maintenance.

Can Facta perform a Root Cause Analysis?

Yes. In the case of recurring or unexpected failures, we investigate which factors contribute to the problem. We use the results to provide targeted advice on next steps.
