Electrical engineering for businesses and industry

Connecting new machinery or expanding your installation? Insufficient electrical capacity can cause overload and downtime. We make sure your installation can safely handle the additional load.

From a machine connection to a complete electrical installation

When adding new machinery or expanding an installation, the distribution system and cabling must be suitable for the increased load. We assess your existing installation and determine the required capacity. Together we decide which components can remain as they are and where modifications are needed. We also look at which other installations may be affected by the work, which processes must continue and when an interruption is feasible.

Our specialists handle cable routing, machine power supplies, distribution boards and control cabling, including installation, connection, measurement and commissioning. When needed, we combine electrical engineering with panel building and industrial automation so that power supply and control systems are fully integrated. On new build projects, we align the electrical infrastructure with machines, building installations and planned expansions. After handover, we support you with inspections, maintenance and our 24/7 emergency breakdown service.

  • From engineering to commissioning

We provide advice and design, deliver the installation, and then carry out testing, measurement and full commissioning.

  • For new and existing installations

We realise new electrical installations and are highly experienced in renovations, capacity expansions and the replacement or modernisation of distribution boards.

  • For specific machinery and entire business processes

Need a specialist in electrical engineering for power installations, machine power supplies or control cabling? We have the expertise for production installations and the capacity for complete production lines.

  • Maintenance and 24/7 emergency service

Call on us after completion for scheduled maintenance and inspections. Or make use of our 24/7 breakdown service for electrical engineering in business and industry.

Electrical engineering according to official standards

For the design, expansion or modernisation of low-voltage installations, we work in accordance with NEN 1010. This is the official standard for new and existing electrical installations in commercial and industrial settings where we carry out new installations, alterations or expansions.

For safe operation, work, inspections and maintenance, we comply with NEN 3140 when working on existing low-voltage installations and electrical equipment. Safety in the workplace is our priority. We take suitable precautions to prevent incidents and any production downtime.

We design sustainable solutions in line with NEN 1010-8, taking into account additional provisions and recommendations for energy efficiency in low-voltage installations. For example, this covers local energy generation and storage. We look beyond solar panels, charging and storage, aiming to optimise the connection between existing and new systems.

Frequently asked questions

Which electrical engineering services does Facta provide?

We specialise in electrical engineering for businesses and industry. This means we have strong expertise in engineering, lighting and power installations, as well as for example distribution panels and cable routes. In addition, we work on data and fibre optic installations and, for example, the wiring of control systems, emergency lighting and machine connections. We also carry out inspections and maintenance and operate our own 24/7 call-out service.

When should an electrical installation be upgraded or replaced?

If an electrical installation does not have enough capacity, or if there are recurring faults and overloads, it is advisable to have the electrical system inspected. The same applies if a distribution panel is outdated or when new machines are installed. We also support clients with the renovation, extension and sustainability of premises and electrical installations.

What is the difference between NEN 1010 and NEN 3140?

Both NEN 1010 and NEN 3140 cover electrical engineering, but the first focuses on the safe design, installation, modification and extension of low-voltage installations. NEN 3140 deals with the safe operation of existing electrical installations and work equipment. This also applies during activities, maintenance and periodic inspections.
