Platform extension at Tata Steel

At Tata Steel’s coke gas plant, we were commissioned to design, fabricate and install a bespoke platform extension. The aim was to create space for a new electrical cabinet, which required a safe, stable supporting structure.

The design

After taking measurements on site, our design team developed a solution that combined structural strength with practical use. Using AutoCAD, they produced a detailed design that fitted the existing structure.

Fabrication and installation

Following approval of the design, the platform was fabricated in our own workshop. Welding was carried out in accordance with all applicable safety requirements. After inspection and approval by our welding inspector, the structure was transported to site, where our installation team fitted it into position.

The result

A carefully designed platform extension, delivered quickly, efficiently and sustainably, in accordance with the highest safety standards. The new platform provides sufficient space to install the electrical cabinet safely, without compromising working space or safety.
