Replacing over 800 metres of crane rail

Together with VolkerRail, our technicians prepared for the replacement of over 800 metres of crane runway rail. The work involved a flash butt welding unit, used to produce high-quality rail welds and ensure reliable joints in the replacement rail.

Following preparation, our technicians completed the installation in collaboration with VolkerRail, Mammoet, gjbrinkman.nl BV and Tata Steel. The rail was installed in 200-metre sections. Mammoet deployed ten cranes to guide the rail into position.

The operation took two weeks, with more than 16 technicians working on site each day. Together, we successfully completed this extensive rail replacement.
