Solutions for grid congestion 

Sustainable energy is increasingly challenging for many businesses because connections often cannot be upgraded, and feeding back into the grid can also prove difficult. When the grid connection cannot be increased, we look for alternative solutions. We assess how much capacity is available and when it is needed within your organisation. 

For charging infrastructure, load-balancing allows the available capacity to be distributed across charging points. With an energy management system, we use information from on-site generation and usage to deploy available energy more intelligently. In this way, we help businesses make optimal use of the solar power they generate. 

We install in accordance with NEN 1010 for low-voltage installations and apply NEN 1010-8:2026 for local energy generation and storage relating to efficient electricity use. All neatly according to the standards, with a practical approach that delivers solutions for grid congestion.

What if my business does not have sufficient grid capacity?

We first assess the capacity of your grid connection, current energy consumption and when peak loads occur. With smart charging and energy management, the available capacity can be distributed more effectively across different installations. 

Solar panels can cover part of your consumption when generation and energy use occur simultaneously. However, they do not in themselves resolve a shortage of grid capacity. Based on our assessment, we advise you on the technically feasible measures. 

Can solar panels, charging stations and energy management be combined?

Yes, provided the chosen systems are compatible. With energy management the energy generation, building consumption and the charging of electric vehicles can be coordinated. This ensures the available capacity is distributed as efficiently as possible and prevents the electrical installation from being unnecessarily overloaded.
