When a turbine fails, power generation or the drive for pumps and compressors can also come to a halt. If you notice increased vibration, reduced efficiency or recurring faults, we investigate the root cause. We assess the condition of the rotor, bearings, turbine blades and seals, then decide what maintenance or repair is required. Our specialists carry out dismantling, cleaning, inspection and repair, both on site and in our workshop. 

We combine rotor and component repairs with low- and high-speed balancing. Are parts no longer available? With reverse engineering and 3D scanning, we can engineer and produce replacement components. We also implement technical improvements during overhaul, and can store your critical spare parts in controlled conditions. This also enables you to continue operating older turbines for longer. We schedule the work to fit the available time during overhauls or turnarounds. In the event of unplanned downtime, our specialists can respond on site.

Which turbines can Facta maintain and overhaul?

When is turbine overhaul necessary?

Overhaul is often advisable when there is wear, damage, vibration, loss of efficiency or recurring failures. During an inspection, we assess the technical condition of the turbine and advise on maintenance, overhaul, or replacement of parts. 

Can Facta carry out rotor repairs and balancing?

Yes. We perform rotor inspections, repairs, and both slow-speed and high-speed balancing. This addresses and prevents imbalance, vibration and wear issues. 

What if turbine parts are no longer available?

Using reverse engineering, 3D scanning and component manufacturing, we can reproduce or restore existing parts. This allows even older turbines to continue operating reliably. 

Can Facta provide support during a turnaround or outage?

Yes. We support customers during planned overhauls, turnarounds and outages. We are also available for emergency breakdowns and unplanned shutdowns to minimise downtime. 

Does Facta also carry out failure analysis?

Yes. Through failure analysis and root cause analysis, we investigate the underlying cause of issues such as vibration, bearing problems, damaged blades, corrosion or recurring breakdowns. This enables us to implement structural improvements.
